I always wanted to be successful. Here is why…

I was born as the 8th child in a family of 10 children, a retired dad, and an uneducated mom. My dad had no savings, no pension, and no business. Heck, he did not even have a house of his own. My mom labored on the farm and market to provide all our needs and send us to school. A providential experience at my school made me stumble on the discovery that by putting my mind to work, I could earn material things that my mom would have normally had to sell several bags of vegetables in order to buy. I was 8 years old when I discovered the power of my mind, and I resolved to use my mind to rewrite my story and reshape my destiny.

I was so thirsty for knowledge and the key to success that by the time I turned 30, I had read over 1000 books on all subjects you can imagine. My first idea of success was the old mantra that says we should “go to school, work hard, secure a job, and save for retirement. Following this script, I built a wildly successful academic career that enabled me to become the Rector of a Polytechnic at the age of 35. But when war broke out and I found myself fleeing from my home, family, and career to seek refuge in the United States, it dawned on me that I had been living a lie.  

When I entered the USA, my first three jobs were babysitting for $20 a day, home health aid, and medical assistant at an urgent care clinic. It was clear to me that even in America, you will never be rich and free if your life revolves around a paycheck. I founded Guzzang Technologies, a company through which I was shipping top-quality products from China for distribution in Cameroon. Then when COVID-19 hit, it dawned on me that this too was an unsustainable business model. I built this company thinking it would be my ticket to financial freedom. But just as my academic career had been shattered by conflict, my eCommerce business had been shattered by the pandemic. 

While the western world was frantic over the fact that more than 40 million people were losing their jobs in the United States alone as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I thought about the daily reality in Africa that I come from, and that of the Africans I have met in the diaspora.

Over 80% of African graduates are either unemployed or underemployed as a result of the colonial curriculum, corrupt governments that serve their colonial masters more than their people, and the rapidly changing global and digital economy. 

An alarming proportion of Africans abroad still live like slaves, working multiple jobs to earn just enough to pay the bills and get back to work, often at the detriment of their health, relationships, dreams, and community life.  

I went out in search of the ideal business model that I could use to create employment for myself, live and work anywhere I want, and secure multiple streams of income that would flow to me effortlessly, on a consistent basis, and in ever-increasing quantities. This is how I stumbled into the digital entrepreneurship space, and boy, I thank the heavens that I did. 

What is even more fascinating is that this new approach to work resonates with my genius as an educator and success coach. I had finally found a treasure that I could easily teach to everyone everywhere and fulfill my dream of helping more than 1,000,000 people to make the consistent income they need to live life on their terms.  

Forget the myths that money is evil, money can’t buy happiness, it takes money to make money, you must have a certain certificate from a certain school in order to be rich, you must know someone in order to be able to make money, and so on and so forth. People who blurt out this garbage are people who desperately need to justify their poverty comfort zone.

Making more money from anywhere while being in control of my time gives me the ability to provide more for my family, do more good in my community, have more options in life, and keep stress away. 

I don’t know about you, but for me - having the financial freedom to do what you want, when you want, with whom you want, travel the world at a moment’s notice, but what you wish without worrying about the price tag, contributing to charities and helping others in need - makes me a lot happier.
